Our town has what they call Santa's Helper's every year. They hold an auction to raise money to purchase gifts for kids in the town who wouldn't have a very good Christmas without it.
I gave them a certificate to auction off a cake, and the person who had the winning bid asked me to make her a Dr. Seuss cake.
This is an instance of use what you have. You would be amazed at what you can actually use to bake a cake in that you already have in your cabinet. I used a medium metal mixing bowl. The bowl held one recipe of cake. I made to halves and place them on top of each other to form my bowl.
The fish is made out of marshmallow fondant with lines drawn on by thinning out my black food gel. The winning bidder said that the cake was enjoyed by all.
I am married to my wonderful husband Cool Daddy. We have been married since 2002. We have a darling daughter, who is 6 and a darling son, who is 4. I started out scrapbooking, and I was even a Close To My Heart consultant for a while. A dear friend gave me a sewing machine, an ever since then I have been sewing and delving into other crafty endeavors.
